# How to Enter a Manufactured Home for AUS
## This guide explains how to enter manufactured home details in a loan file so Automated Underwriting Systems (AUS) correctly recognize the property, including support for Fannie Mae MH Advantage and Freddie Mac CHOICEHome.

### Step 1 : Set the Property Type
You can set the property type from either of these locations:
**Option A: Overview Tab**
- Go to **Overview**.
- Click the **Edit** pencil next to *Subject Property*.
- Use the **Property Type** dropdown to select one of the following:
- Manufactured Home
- Manufactured Double Wide
- Manufactured Single Wide
- Manufactured Multi Wide
- Manufactured Home – Condo/PUD/Co-Op
- Click **Save**.
**Option B: Loan and Property Tab**
- Go to **Loan and Property \> Property Information**.
- Use the **Property Type** dropdown to select the appropriate type.
- Click **Save**.

### Step 2: Set the Construction Method Type
- Navigate to **Loan Additional \> Appraisal Information and Project Detail**.
- Click the **Edit** pencil.
- Use the **Construction Method Type** dropdown and select one of the following:
- Manufactured
- Mobile Home
- Modular
- On-Frame Modular
- Site Built
- Other
- **For agency specific products:**
- Select **Other**.
- In the ***Construction Method Type – Other Description* field**, enter:
- **MH Advantage** (Fannie Mae)
- **CHOICEHome** (Freddie Mac)
- Click **Save**.

### Step 3: Complete Manufactured Home Tab (If Applicable)
If you have additional manufactured home details to enter:
- Go to **Loan Additional → Manufactured Home**.
- Fill in the fields, such as:
- Certificate of Title Type
- Serial Number Identifier
- HUD Certification Label Identifier
- Lot Ownership Type, etc.
- Click **Save** when finished.

### ✅ Quick Summary
- Set the **Property Type** in either **Overview** or **Loan and Property**.
- Set the **Construction Method Type** in **Loan Additional \> Appraisal Information and Project Detail** — this is what AUS uses.
For **MHAdvantage (Fannie Mae)** or **CHOICEHome (Freddie Mac)**, choose **Other** as **Construction Method Type** and enter the product name in ***Construction Method Type – Other Description* field**
- Complete the **Manufactured Home Tab** in Loan Additional when details are available.
