# How to enter rental income?

## This article will provide steps to enter rental income for the subject property or another REO.

- Users will decide if they wish to let the system calculate the net rent or if they wish to enter their own calculations.  
    - If using the system, choose Yes for calculated
    - If not, choose No for calculated.
- Calculated = Yes  
    - Enter the gross rent amount monthly dollar figure
    - Users can set the occupancy rate percentage
    - The net rent will calculate automatically
- Calculated = No 
    - Users may enter their own calculated amount either as a positive or negative number. Do not click Yes for calculated leave it set as No. Also, do not leave the field blank as the system will revert back to the default setting of the calculated value = Yes.

The example is for the subject property however the procedure will be the same in the REO section for any other REOs. Users will click the calculator button to access the cash flow options of Yes or No.
